Burial Gown

This gown was humbly made for a friend that unfortunately lost her baby. I hope that this brought something special to an otherwise sad day. The gown ended up being 4 inches wide and 7 inches long.

Blessing Outfit For Boy

This was a fun BIG project. I had never made pants before so that was a new experience. I was dreading it for two reasons. First I had never done them and second because the pattern called for elastic for the waist. To my surprise they were one of the easiest parts of the whole outfit! This project was crocheted using Bernat Softee Baby sport weight yarn in white and light blue. The light blue is actually white and light blue yarn twisted together so it gives it a very soft look.

Dresses

I made this blessing dress for my niece that is a month old.
I found the pattern that I used for the skirt and thought it was so adorable and delicate. Just what a blessing dress should be. I also used that same pattern for the sleeves. I added a cute and simple trim to the neck, sleeves, and skirt to give it a finished look and to tie all the elements together. There are four buttons down the back and I used a silver sheer ribbon at the waiste and end of the sleeve.

The jumper I made for my 4 year old daughter.
This was another pattern that I altered because I needed a bigger size and I wanted a detail of some kind on the bodice. I went with stripes. Which is an easy way to add interest to a project. I continued the stripe idea onto the skirt, but in a different way.

I loved the way these dresses turned out! Let me know what you think. Any suggestions to make them better would be welcome.

Beanies for Girls!

This is such a fun beanie/hat for girls. There is a nice shell detail for the edging, a crocheted flower with a button detail, and coordinating ribbon to make this real girly.

Beanie and Matching Poncho

I was inspired to attempt making beanies by a friend that has started crocheting. Hers turned out so darn cute that I had to do it. After the third attempt I finally got the shape right. I added the fringe and flower to coordinate with the poncho.

I have made this poncho many times and never get tired of making it. I added a new element with the flower and love the way it looks.

I am very happy with the way this outfit turned out.

(It is a little small for my model, but I made it for a 2 year old girl. The sizing will be just right for her.)

Crocheted Cuff

My newest experiment is this great cuff. The pattern for this was sent to me by a great friend of mine. It wasn't too difficult to figure out. And it is a great accessory for women. I did learn from this project that crochet thread is not my favorite material to work with.
